Getting Crafty at King’s Museum

We are getting crafty at King’s Museum! Join us on the 6th August at our Learning and Events Space, 90 High Street for this FREE craft event! The event starts at 2pm and its theme is inspired by the fascination with optical illusions and visual effects during the Victorian Era. This is a brilliant chance for children aged 3 – 10 to make some magical and mind bending crafts. This craft event accompanies the new King’s Museum exhibition Victorian Time: Spirit of the Age

After making some fascinating optical illusion crafts with us why not explore the University campus and join the Special Collections Centre, at the Sir Duncan Rice Library, and the Cruickshank Botanic Gardens for a brilliant Pioneer Day. You can find out more about their free events here.

About uoamuseums

The University of Aberdeen's Museums include King’s Museum and the University's Zoology Museum. The museums can claim to be Scotland's oldest, with records of museums and collections as far back as the late 17th century. Thanks to their status as a Recognised Collection of national significance, the Zoology Museum’s displays are currently being improved, while King's Museum hosts changing exhibitions drawn from across the collections, particularly those formerly in Marischal Museum. Visitors are warmly welcomed to the museums, and there are no charges for admission. Marischal College now houses the Museums Collections Centre, caring for and conserving many of the collections.
